Tooth Extraction
Tooth extraction is a dental procedure that involves removing a tooth from the socket in the jaw bone.

Consultation
A dentist will examine your mouth and take x-rays to determine the location and condition of the tooth to be extracted. They will discuss with you the recommended treatment plan, and the options available after the extraction.

Anesthesia
Depending on the location and severity of the tooth, the dentist may administer a local anesthetic to numb the area around the tooth, or in some cases, a general anesthetic to put you to sleep during the procedure.

Loosening The Tooth
The dentist will use special instruments to loosen the tooth from the socket. This may involve making small cuts in the gum tissue to access the tooth.

Removing The Tooth
Once the tooth is loose, the dentist will gently remove it from the socket.

Stitching
If necessary, the dentist will stitch the extraction site to help the healing process.

Follow-Up
The patient will need to have regular follow-up appointments to monitor the healing process and to ensure that the extraction site is healing properly.
It’s important to note that preventive dentistry is a continuous process that aims to maintain oral health, prevent oral diseases and detect any issues early before they become severe. Regular check-ups, cleanings and preventive measures can help to maintain healthy teeth and gums, reduce the risk of tooth decay and gum diseases and ultimately, save money on costly treatments in the future.
